1. Who runs this site
recofolio.com is operated by [[FQ_LEGAL_NAME]], DMCC licence [[FQ_LICENCE_NO]], registered at [[FQ_REGISTERED_ADDRESS]], United Arab Emirates.
Using the site means you accept these terms. If you create a Recofolio Lite account and use the product, a separate Terms of Service and End User Licence Agreement governs that use, and takes precedence over this page for anything to do with the product itself. That agreement (docs/legal/D-L1-TERMS-OF-SERVICE-AND-EULA.md) exists in draft but is not summarised on this page — it has its own 29 sections and its own review.
2. What the site is for
The site describes Recofolio, lets you sign up for a Recofolio Lite account, and — today — hosts the converter itself at /convert, which needs no account at all. It is information and, for the free product, the product's own front door.
3. Not advice, and not an offer
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and none of it should be relied on as such. Where the site describes what the product does, it describes what it does now — nothing here is a roadmap or a commitment about something not yet built.

4. What is on the site is true today, checked against the code
This is stronger than the usual "we try to keep this accurate" clause, and it is worth stating plainly because it is verifiable: the claim "No bank logins. Ever." and the claim that the converter sends nothing to Recofolio's servers are enforced by the page's own Content-Security-Policy (connect-src 'none' on /convert), not merely asserted in copy. A visitor who does not take our word for it can check this themselves in their browser's developer tools.
5. What you may and may not do here
You may read, print and share the pages for your own or your organisation's use. You may not copy or republish the content commercially without written permission; scrape or crawl at a rate that degrades the site; attempt unauthorised access; or use the site to send anything unlawful.

6. Intellectual property
The site, its text, design, graphics and the Recofolio name and marks belong to us or our licensors. Third-party names, including banks, belong to their owners and appear only descriptively — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any bank.

7. Signing up and marketing email
If you create a Recofolio Lite account or join a waitlist, we use your email address to run the account or send you what you asked for — that is opt-in, and it is the only thing we use it for. Every marketing message has a one-click unsubscribe. We do not sell, rent or share your email address, and we do not use it for advertising by anyone else. The Privacy Notice (draft) explains exactly what we hold and for how long.

8. Links, availability, and liability
Where we link out, we do not control that site and are not responsible for it. This site is provided as-is; we do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted or free of error, and we may change or take down any part of it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site — this does not limit any liability the law does not allow us to limit, and does not affect your rights as a consumer or under the Terms of Service if you are a customer.

9. Law and forum
These terms are governed by the federal law of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
